Dolby is bringing the Dolby Atmos House back to Amsterdam for Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2025, leveling up the festival’s focus on immersive sound and creative tech.

Headline events: Oct 23–24 at TOBACCO Theater

Dolby will host a series of intimate artist sessions on Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24 at TOBACCO Theater (Amsterdam) featuring:

+ Nadia Struiwigh

+ Armin van Buuren

+ Jeff Mills

…and more special guests

Expect candid conversations, creative walkthroughs, and perspectives on how spatial audio is reshaping production, performance, and listening.

What’s inside Dolby Atmos House

Open to everyone, the Dolby Atmos House is designed as a drop-in hub to connect, recharge, and explore:

The Hangout: a social space to reset between ADE runs.

Device Bar: audition “special tracks” mixed for Dolby Atmos and get hands-on with supported devices.

Max Cooper experience: a multi-dimensional in-building installation that spotlights how narrative, visuals, and spatial sound intersect.

Dolby at ADE Lab: workshops & deep dives (Oct 22)

Dolby makes its ADE Lab debut on Wednesday, October 22 at Westerpark with Dolby Creator Lab workshops—a practical deep dive into the creative and technical foundations of Dolby Atmos.
Sessions are hosted in the Dolby Room, a fully-equipped Dolby Atmos studio, so you can experience real-world workflows (routing, bed/objects, monitoring) rather than just theory.

Getting around: Mercedes-Benz shuttle with spatial audio

To connect the dots across the city, Dolby has partnered with Mercedes-Benz to run a shuttle between ADE Lab, STMPD Studios, and Dolby Atmos House. The vehicles are fitted with spatial audio, turning each ride into part of the experience—a clever way to demonstrate Atmos outside the studio.

Why this matters (and how to get the most out of it)

Producers & mix engineers: Hear how top artists structure Atmos sessions and translate intent into objects/beds. Take notes on monitoring, headroom, and deliverables.

DJs & performers: Learn how spatial stems and show design can evolve beyond stereo playback, from clubs to live AV.

Curious listeners: Experience reference mixes on consumer devices—critical for understanding how Atmos travels from studio to living room to car.

Plan your visit

Entry: Dolby Atmos House is open to everyone. Arrive early for headline sessions—capacity is limited.

Gear questions: Hit the Device Bar for hands-on listening and setup guidance.

Between stops: Use the Mercedes-Benz shuttle to jump between ADE Lab, STMPD Studios, and TOBACCO Theater.
